I'm Prashant Bhakuni, a UI/UX designer based in India.
I came to design from quality assurance — from finding where software breaks before anyone else did. What I kept noticing was that the worst problems weren't coding mistakes. They were decisions nobody had made: a state nobody drew, a flow that held up right until someone did something ordinary.
So I moved to the part of the process where those decisions get made.
It still shows in how I work. The screens most people leave for last — no connection, session full, the timer ran out, the data is out of date — are the ones I draw first. I've spent long enough on the other side to know they're the ones people actually meet. In GameJamm that became a full set of failure states alongside the parts that go right. In Nexlane it's a whole section of the research about what the design has to survive.
None of it was accidental. I tried design once and gave up, went back to editing video, moved into QA, then stopped everything else and studied design properly. That's what got me here.
